Greetings,
I have been pondering the increasing noise of our society,
Noise could be defined as sound and information that is less than useful.
A lot of the noise I find in my life seems to be necessary.
I believe this noise can be harmful to us when we are blasted into confusion and disorientation.
I have people calling me, telling me, asking me, texting me, and other things to me many times a day. I hear radio, play cds, and hear other media forms,
After all of this I am left weary and tired,........
I am reminded of the song flee as a bird to your mountain.
As a deer pants for the water so my soul pants for you,
Oh for an audience with God! Oh that I could hear his voice in this world of noise and unrest.
Even Jesus needed time away from others to be alone with God.
However there are times when it just does not suit to leave the cares and demands of life.
May we cry out to him in our weariness and need.
Let us leave the cares to seek our maker alone,
He alone has what we need to be strong,
Hear him speaking through the birds
Hear him talking from out the brook,
Jesus found life in doing the will of his father,
Jesus had strength to bear with his selfish disciples.
Jesus found strength to do his fathers will,
I pray our hearts can be filled to overflowing as we seek our maker,
That we can find answers to our questions and our sorrows be healed,
If God can do all he has done, surely he can take care of us,
